Privacy Policy – EMI Calculator: Loan, GST, SIP
Effective date: 2026-10-10
EMI Calculator: Loan, GST, SIP is published by Northcell, a brand of Upamana Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does, and does not do, with information.
The short version
- No accounts. There is no sign-up and no login.
- Works offline. Every calculator works without an internet connection. What you enter stays on your device.
- We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We receive nothing about you. We run no servers for this app and it has no analytics or crash-reporting service that sends data to us.
- Only two outside services. The only network activity comes from Google AdMob (ads) and Google Play Billing (the one-time "Remove ads" purchase).
What stays on your device
The amounts, rates and other figures you type, the values each calculator remembers for next time (you can turn this off in Settings), the loans you save, your settings, and whether you have removed ads are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. The rates, slabs and limits the calculators use are bundled with the app; nothing is downloaded for them.
When you choose to share a PDF or CSV, the app creates the file in its temporary storage, hands it to Android's share sheet and to the app you choose there, and removes it automatically at a later start of the app once it is more than a day old. We do not receive it. The same goes for "Copy summary".
Information we hold
We hold no personal information about you. There are no user accounts and nothing from the app is sent to us.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ads library collects and uses:
- your device's IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- how you interact with ads and the app, such as app launches, taps and video views;
- diagnostic information about the app and the ads library, such as launch time and hang rate;
- device identifiers, including your Advertising ID and an app set ID.
Google handles this under Google's Privacy Policy, and it is sent over an encrypted connection. We do not receive this information.
- In the European Economic Area and the UK, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before showing ads. Your choice is kept on your device, and you can change it at any time in Settings, under Privacy options. That entry appears only where the consent form applies.
- You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device settings (Settings, Google, Ads).
- If you buy "Remove ads", the app stops requesting and showing ads.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play. We never see or store your card or payment details. The app keeps a single yes/no value on your device to remember that you have removed ads, and "Restore purchases" asks Google Play, not us.
Permissions
The app asks for no permission to read your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location. The permissions it does declare, mostly through Google's ads and billing libraries, are:
- Internet access and network state, to load ads, complete the purchase and check whether you are online.
- Advertising ID, used by AdMob as described above.
- Android ad-services permissions, declared by Google's ads library for Android's privacy-preserving ads features.
- Google Play billing, to make and restore the purchase.
- Wake lock and foreground service, standard permissions that Google's libraries use to finish short background tasks such as loading an ad.
Your choices, and deleting your data
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete. Information stored on your device is removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it, and you can delete a saved loan inside the app. For ad-related data held by Google, you can use your Google account's ad settings. If you want to exercise any right you have under applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, write to [email protected] with your request and we will respond.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. Beyond the device identifiers the advertising library uses to serve ads, we hold no personal data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will change and the new version will be included in an app update.
